Case study · Sherman Oaks, CA
Fresh Bins LA: from a wall calendar to $10–14K a month
Fresh Bins LA cleans trash bins and dumpsters across the San Fernando Valley. Owner Vic was booking customers on a wall calendar with a website from a vendor that wasn’t bringing in work. Here’s what we changed and what happened.

Where they started
Fresh Bins LA had the hard part figured out: a wrapped truck with a hydraulic lift, hot-water cleaning, and customers who loved the service. What they didn't have was a system.
- Scheduling: monthly and quarterly customers lived on a wall calendar.
- Website: a template site from a vendor that wasn't producing bookings.
- Billing: chasing expired and declined cards by hand.
What we did, in order
1. Google Business Profile
We cleaned up the profile so it matched the business: services, service area, prices, photos of the real truck and real bins, and a booking link. Fresh Bins now sits at 5.0 stars with 82 Google reviews.
2. A 42-page website with 31 city pages
We rebuilt freshbinsla.com from scratch. Every neighborhood they serve, from Sherman Oaks to Burbank and Glendale, got its own page. The site carries full local SEO markup (LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ and Breadcrumb schema), shows prices up front, and every plan button opens that exact plan in Jobatory so nobody has to pick twice.

3. Every customer moved onto Jobatory
We moved every customer off the calendar and into Jobatory. Scheduling and reschedule notices are automatic now, failed and expired cards get chased until they're updated, and the driver has his own login and gets tips. We also set up a 75-day win-back text that invites one-time customers to book again.
4. Google Ads tracked to Stripe
Ads went on last, once the profile and site were converting. We didn't judge them by Google's conversion count. We matched every ad conversion to an actual payment in Stripe.
| Google Ads, launch to Sep 30, 2026 | Result |
|---|---|
| Paying customers, matched in Stripe | 21 |
| Collected from those customers so far | $2,457 |
| Average first payment | $117 |
| Clicks that became paying customers | 11.2% |
What we learned
- Wording matters. Searches with "trash can" or "garbage can" converted at about 21% of clicks, "trash bin" at about 14%, and plain "bin cleaning" at about 5%. More in trash can vs. bin keywords.
- Area matters more. The Valley, Burbank and Glendale ZIP codes brought in 27 of the first 29 ad conversions. The other areas barely converted, so we cut them and moved the budget.
- Count sales, not clicks. Google reported 29 conversions. Stripe showed 21 paying customers. Budget decisions go off Stripe.
- Price shoppers want prices. Searches about price went to the pricing page, not straight to checkout, and converted at about 20%.
Fix the profile, build a site that shows prices and books, automate the busywork, then buy traffic. In that order.
